Rays Host Columbia on Dodge Fan Appreciation Night

The Stingrays ran off six unanswered goals to sink the Mississippi Sea Wolves last night at the North Charleston Coliseum, 6-1. Newcomers Matt Smith (2 goals) and Ben Nelson registered lamp-lighters, as did Travis Morin, Matt Scherer, and Todd Griffith, while defenseman Sasha Pokulok, in his first game with the Rays this season, added four assists. Josh Johnson earned his first win since March 2, stopping 28 shots between the pipes for South Carolina. Columbia, meanwhile, fell last evening in Augusta to the Lynx, 3-2.
