Defenseman Joins Jackals On The Road In Ohio

ELMIRA, NY - The Elmira Jackals, proud member of the ECHL, announced today that they have signed defenseman Elgin Reid to an ECHL contract. Reid joined the club today in Dayton, Ohio, where they are preparing for two games against the Bombers tonight (7 p.m.) and Sunday (5 p.m.).

Reid, 21, is a Milton, Ontario, native who spent five seasons in the OHL with Ottawa, Owen Sound and Windsor. In 265 career games in the OHL, Reid scored 28 goals with 82 assists for 110 points along with 453 penalty minutes.

Skating in three games last spring with Rio Grande (Central Hockey League), Reid was pointless in three playoff games with the Killer Bees. In four playoff contests this season with Windsor, he was pointless with 15 penalty minutes.
