
Rays Home Opener is This Saturday

South Carolina Stingrays News Release
The Stingrays take on the Columbia Inferno at 7:05 p.m. this Saturday, October 21 at the North Charleston Coliseum.
The night is full of entertainment with pre-game activities beginning on the Plaza at 4:00 p.m., the ZOOperstars performing at intermission, and Super Fan Cameron Hughes running around the Coliseum the entire game.
Opening Night is sponsored by Carolina Dodge with the first 7,000 fans receiving their own Dodge Rally Towel.
The Week That Was:
The Rays played two exhibition games last weekend.
First they took on the Columbia Inferno on Friday, October 13 at the Carolina Ice Palace. The Rays won 8-3 behind solid goaltending by Davis Parley and two goals from newcomer Ryan Bennett.
The game against the Charlotte Checkers in Charlotte did not go as well.
The Checkers clamped down the Stingrays offense and won 7-0.
The Stingrays Continue Taste of Charleston
The Taste of Charleston continues this week for the Rays as they travel to the following places:
Monday: The entire team will visit Bobby Hartin's Sports Grill for the Coach's Show
Tuesday: The Booster Club Association is hosting an oyster roast, open to members only
Wednesday: The Charleston Yacht Club is the place for the annual Corporate Media Party; invitation only
Thursday: The Rays are back in the public as they visit Wild Wings North Charleston.
Don't forget, they will be at the Firehouse Bar and Grill all week for lunch. Firehouse Bar and Grill is the official sponsor of Training Camp.
