Raptors 905 Fall to the Blue Coats in Delaware

Raptors 905 (4-2), the NBA G League affiliate of the Toronto Raptors, dropped a 129-141 decision to the Delaware Blue Coats (2-3) Friday evening. The 905 were led by Ron Harper Jr. who stuffed the stat sheet with 28 points, four rebounds, two assists, five steals, and four blocks in the loss. Mac McClung led Blue Coats' effort putting up career-high 44 points, six rebounds, and five assists in the victory. Delaware opened the ball game strong, gaining the upper hand as they outscored the 905 16-9 in the opening six minutes. The 905 came out of the timeout strong, going on a 19-6 run before the Blue Coats took the five-point advantage going into the second. The home side carried their momentum into the second, outscoring the 905 44-36 and extending their lead to 13 points going into the half.

The two teams traded baskets in the third, but the 905 were unable to cut into the deficit as they went into the final frame down 15. The visitors mounted their comeback bid in the fourth, bringing the game within six, but a joint effort from the Blue Coats' handed the 905 their second loss of the season.

Saben Lee paced the 905 with his first double-double of the season, putting up 28 points, 11 assists, and three rebounds while Charlie Brown Jr. added 22 points, three rebounds, two assists, and a steal in the victory. The Raptors 905 will now return home to host the Long Island Nets Monday, tip off slated for 7:30pm. The Blue Coats now travel to Maine to take on the Celtics Sunday, tip off at 3:00pm.
