Iowa Wolves to Host Wisconsin Herd for a Pair of Weekend Games

DES MOINES, Iowa - This weekend, the Iowa Wolves (2-3) are back inside Wells Fargo Arena as the Wisconsin Herd (4-3) visit for games on Saturday and Sunday.

Along with former Iowa standouts Luka Garza and Jordan Bohannon on the Wolves, former Iowa standout Joe Wieskamp, former Iowa State and Wolves standout Lindell Wigginton and former UNI standout AJ Green could suit up for the Herd.

Saturday's game at 7 p.m. is Iowa's annual cancer awareness game, Hoops for Hope presented by Kinship Brewing Company. Proceeds from special ticket packages will benefit Can Do Cancer and several other local cancer awareness groups. Special light sticks will be handed out pregame to help bring light to the plight of cancer that affects so many.

In addition, the Iowa Wolves are teaming up with Love Your Melon for a special $35 ticket package for the Hoops for Hope game. The Love Your Melon Ticket Pack includes a ticket and a Special Limited Edition Love Your Melon Iowa Wolves beanie. Love Your Melon is an apparel brand dedicated to giving a hat to every child battling cancer in America as well as supporting nonprofit organizations who lead the fight against pediatric cancer. Saturday will be Iowa's first Hoops & Hops game with Kinship as the featured brewery. The event will start at 6 p.m. and run through halftime.

Each Hoops & Hops Pass is $45 and includes:

One (1) Iowa Wolves ticket in the courtside business zone

One (1) Iowa Wolves Hoops & Hops commemorative pint glass

Four (4) pints of Kinship beer - lineup will be announced prior to Saturday night

Popcorn & chicken tenders or meatballs

Opportunity to meet the brewers, win prizes, and sample exclusive beers

Sunday's game at 3 p.m. will be Iowa's first Community Celebration Game Presented by Principal® with LGBTQ+ Pride Community Celebration Day. Iowa has partnered with Capital City Pride and the team will wear specially designed uniforms that will be auctioned off with proceeds going to Capital City Pride.
