ROUND ROCK - The Pacific Coast League announced Monday that Round Rock Express infielder Cody Ransom has been named the league's Batter of the Week after posting a .407 batting average and homering five times over four consecutive games last week.
Ransom went 4-for-6 with three doubles against Las Vegas on July 30 and followed up two days later with a pair of home runs and five RBI on Aug. 1. He finished the week with 13 RBI and a slugging percentage of 1.074.
