Rangers Edge Storm 3-2

The Kitchener Rangers claimed a 3-2 victory over the Guelph Storm before 6,515 fans at The Aud tonight.

After a scoreless first period, newly named Captain Dan Kelly led the way for the Rangers with a helper on Jeff Skinner's opening power play goal at the 1:31 mark in the second period. Guelph answered back with a goal at the 14:39 mark by Tim Priamo on the Storm power play.

Tyler Randell netted a rebound on another Rangers power play to put Kitchener up 2-1 at the 7:37 mark in the third period. Newly acquired Yves Bastien tied the game 2-2 on Guelph's power play at the 10:47 mark. Julian Cimadamore netted a one-timer to put the Rangers up 3-2 by the 11:38 mark.

The Kitchener Rangers travel to Sault Ste. Marie for a 7:30pm game Saturday and then on to Saginaw for a 4:00 pm game on Sunday.

They return to home ice on Friday, January 16th when the Windsor Spitfires visit. Game time is 7:30pm.
