Mike Murphy Named OHL Goaltender of the Month

Mike Murphy has been named the OHL Goaltender of the Month for December. It is the second consecutive month that Murphy has captured this award. Murphy enjoyed an exceptional December, posting a 5-2-0-0 record along with a 1.72 goals against average and .955 save percentage along with one shutout.
The reigning OHL Goaltender of the Year currently leads the OHL with a 2.03 GAA and .943 SV%. Murphy allowed more than two goals in just one of his seven starts in December while facing over 30 shots in each game. The Inverary, Ontario native was named one of the three stars of the game four times in December and is now tied for the franchise record with 68 career regular season victories.
