CEDAR PARK, TX (Oct. 4, 2015) - The San Antonio Rampage wrapped up the 2015-16 preseason with a 5-4 overtime loss to the Texas Stars on Sunday afternoon at the Cedar Park Center. Four different players tallied goals for the Rampage, including two power-play goals from Colin Smith and Chris Bigras.

Stephen Johns tallied the first goal of the game to give Texas a 1-0 lead just 3:21 into the contest. Smith answered for the Rampage, hammering in a rebound off a Cody Corbett shot to knot the game at one.

San Antonio took their first lead of the game just over three minutes later, as Mason Geertsen took a drop pass from Trevor Cheek and put the puck past John Muse to make it a 2-1 game.

Brendan Ranford, who didn't suit up for the Stars in Friday night's game, scored the equalizer on the power play at 16:31 of the frame, but the Rampage took a 3-2 lead into the first intermission, as Chris Bigras took a cross-crease pass from Alex Belzile and tapped it past Muse giving San Antonio their second power-play goal in as many opportunities with the man advantage.

Each team scored in the middle frame. Devin Shore picked up a goal for the Stars, and Brett Perlini converted off a Texas turnover to give the Rampage a 4-3 advantage - their third lead of the game - heading into the break.

After a scoreless 19 minutes in the third period, Justin Dowling scored a low-angle shot from the right circle to send the game to overtime. Julius Honka tapped in a Branden Troock pass with 1.9 seconds left in the extra frame to seal a 5-4 win for the Stars.
