THIS WEEK'S GAMES

Friday, Dec. 26 vs. Houston@ Toyota Center, 7:35 p.m.

The Rampage begin a three-game road trip to close out December starting in Houston. The Minnesota Wild affiliate is 3-0 against the Rampage including an 8-6 offensive slugfest in Houston. The Aeros and Rampage meet eight times on the ice this year.

Saturday, Dec. 27 vs. Peoria @ Carver Arena, 7:00 p.m.

This is only the second meeting of the season between these two West Division rivals, who play eight times this year. The Rivermen took the first meeting 5-3 in Peoria. The St. Louis Blues top affiliate currently sits near the top of the Division entering the week with 37 total points.

SHOTS FROM THE POINT 08-09

PASS THE TORCH: Goalie Josh Tordjman won a 5-3 decision against Chi- cago on Saturday. The victory moves Tordjman past Travis Scott as the all-time franchise leader in wins with 45.

DECEMBER TO REMEMBER: Not only has Tordjman become the all-time franchise leader in wins, but Josh is 7-1 with a 1.50 GAA and .940 save per- centage during December.

ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The Rampage are the only winless team on the road in the AHL at 0-10-0-1. Six of their next seven games are outside of the Alamo City beginning with a back-to-back in Houston and Peoria.

'P' is for PERFORMANCE: The return of Joel Perrault has infused new life into the Rampage. Before he returned from injury, the Rampage had totaled 5 points in 23 games. They have 14 in their last nine while going 7-2 over that span.

ICE CHIPS: David Spina

From the hockey hotbed of Mesa, Arizona, comes Rampage left winger David Spina. The 25-year-old is in his 5th AHL season and second with San Antonio.

Spina missed 17 games earlier this season with an injury but has returned to help get the Rampage back on track. The Rampage sorely missed his speed and energy on the ice. Not coincidentally, the team record losing streak came with Spina off the ice, while the turnaround has come since his return.

Spina has a hand in both shorthanded goals and helped lead the Rampage to a 5-3 win over Chicago on Friday with a season and team-high 4-point night.

New Years Day Special: Help ring in the New Year with the Rampage. Tickets are available for $9 for anywhere in the arena. Game time is at 3 p.m.
