Adirondack Phantoms News Release
PHILADELPHIA - The Philadelphia Phantoms, in conjunction with Babies âR Us, have gone "pint-size" with their kids tickets for the rest of the 2008-09 season. Tickets for all Phantoms fans 14 and under will now be just $5 for all Phantoms home games.
"In light of today's economy, it's harder than ever for families to find the resources for a fun night out together," said Phantoms vice president Mike Thornton. "Through this new kids price, we hope families who have been coming to Phantoms games for years will be able to do so, and that others who maybe haven't come to a Phantoms game yet will take the opportunity to find out how much fun they are."
For the past 12 years, the Phantoms have offered incredible hockey action at great family-friendly prices. Widely regarded as the second-best hockey league in the world, the American Hockey League is the place where the NHL stars of tomorrow are developing today. Claude Giroux, Andreas Nodl, and Jonathon Kalinski are just a few players from this year's team who have a bright NHL future ahead of them.
However, Phantoms games aren't just about the hockey. The concourse is chock-full of great kids entertainment, including balloon artists, Baba the Clown, face painters, and much more. Several of the team's giveaways are meant especially for kids, including this Friday's 2008 Trading Card Set giveaway sponsored by Pepsi, which goes to the first 3,000 kids 14 and under.
In addition to the great entertainment on and off the ice, the Phantoms are also honoring the final year of the historic Wachovia Spectrum, which is hosting its last season of hockey. Whether fans remember coming to the Spectrum as kids for Flyers games, Sixers games, concerts or any of the other great events and historic moments, the rest of the Phantoms season offers a great opportunity for people to come back to the building one final time and give their children a taste of what they experienced.
The new $5 kids ticket price goes into effect this Friday, December 26 when the Phantoms host the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins at 7:05. To celebrate the new rate, Phantoms mascot Phlex will be greeting fans and handing out kids tickets today at the Babies âR Us in Springfield, PA from 11 AM to 1 PM.
