Rampage Sign Evan Barlow to PTO

SAN ANTONIO (November 17, 2011) - San Antonio Rampage General Manager Mike Santos announced today that the American Hockey League (AHL) club has signed left wing Evan Barlow to a professional try-out (PTO).

Barlow, 26, currently leads the ECHL in scoring with 19 points (9 goals, 10 assists) in 13 games with the Elmira Jackals this season. The Strathmore, Alberta native has skated in 110 career ECHL games totaling 59 goals and 89 assists with Idaho (2009-11) and Elmira (2011-12). He appeared in eight AHL games with the Abbotsford Heat during the 2009-10 season tallying one goal and three assists.

The 5-foot-9, 185-pound forward skated in 126 career collegiate games with Cornell University (ECAC) collecting 61 points (28 goals, 33 assists) over the course of four seasons (2005-09).

The Rampage embark on their longest road trip of the season starting with a three-in-three series this weekend in Grand Rapids, Chicago and Milwaukee then finishing off the 10-day trek in Rockford and Abbotsford. The next home game is slated for Dec. 3 against the Oklahoma City Barons at 7 p.m. at the AT&T Center.
