Worcester Sharks News Release

WORCESTER - Worcester Sharks President Michael A. Mudd announced that the Worcester Sharks will be hosting the 6th annual Hat & Mittens Holiday Skate with the Sharks presented by Bay State Savings Bank immediately following the game vs. the Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins on Sunday, November 20 at 4:00pm at the DCU Center.

Skaters are asked to bring new winter hats and mittens to be donated to Pernet Family Health Services of Worcester through the Champions for Children program. Skate rentals are not available and you must bring your own skates (in bag). Enjoy free hot chocolate from SAVOR catering, delicious cookies from Eric's La Patisserie of Worcester, and festive holiday music.

Fans will have the opportunity to skate with their favorite Worcester Sharks - including Frazer McLaren, Brandon Mashinter, Tommy Wingels, and Mike Moore! During that time, fans of all ages can also receive autographs, take photos, and get to know the Worcester Sharks players.

"This holiday event is a wonderful opportunity for families looking to do something for those in need, and they can do so while enjoying the excitement of a Worcester Sharks hockey game," said Mudd.

The Bay State Savings Bank Champions for Children initiative was created in 2004 to recognize and support local organizations and individuals who provide education, mentoring, training, life skills development, or recreational opportunities to the youth of the community.
