RHP Luis Ramirez gave up just one hit over eight innings as the Shorebirds lone rune in the sixth proved to be the game winner against the Lake County Captains in Eastlake, Ohio. The top of the sixth started with Eric Grimm hitting into an error. Quincy Ascencion followed with a bun single, then a balk by Aaron Laffey moved both runners in scoring position with no one out. Gary Cates followed with an RBI groundout scoring Grimm. Casey Cahill came on in the ninth allowing one hit and picking up his second save of the year.
