TACOMA, Wash. - The Tacoma Rainiers rolled to an 11-5 series-opening win over the Salt Lake Bees at Cheney Stadium on Monday night.

Tenbrink stretched the Rainiers lead to 5-0 in the third after delivering a solo home run to right field - his 15th this season. Almonte and Kelly hit RBI singles in back-to-back at-bats with two outs in the bottom of the fifth to expand Tacoma's advantage to 7-1.
Salt Lake's Scott Cousins hit a three-run home run that brought the Bees within three runs in the sixth, but Tacoma re-took a six-run lead after posting a four-run frame in the seventh. Ji-Man Choi recorded his first Triple-A home run after hitting a two-run blast, and Poythress plated two more with a two RBI single.
