TACOMA, Wash. - Stefen Romero collected three hits as the Tacoma Rainiers fell to the Sacramento River Cats 9-2 at Cheney Stadium on Sunday.

Romero accounted for nearly half of Tacoma's eight hits after going 3-for-4 with a double. The outfielder has turned in multi-hit outings in four out of his last five games and is now batting a combined.404 (19x47) through 12 appearances since May 19.

Eric Thames turned in Tacoma's other multi-hit game after going 2-for-4 with a double. Mike Zunino produced his team-leading 42nd RBI of the season after drawing a bases-loaded walk in the eighth, and Brad Miller drove in another Rainiers run with a sacrifice fly in the ninth.

The River Cats scored six of their nine runs via four homers on Sunday. Michael Choice broke open a scoreless game with a solo shot in the sixth, and Hiroyuki Nakajima stretched Sacramento's 2-0 lead to three runs with a one-run blast in the seventh. Grant Green and Shane Peterson both hit two-run home runs in the top of the ninth inning.
