Two Sluggers Advance to Second Round of High School Home Run Derby

RENO, Nev.-Chase Hauder of Spanish Springs High School and Kody Reynolds of McQueen High School have earned a spot in the final round of the High School Home Run Derby at Aces Ballpark, following the semi-final round on Sunday afternoon.

The batters are competing for the chance to take part in the 2013 Triple-A Home Run Derby, to be held at Aces Ballpark on July 15 as part of the Triple-A All-Star festivities.

The field was narrowed from eight batters down to two on Sunday, with Hauder knocking out five home runs, and Reynolds crushing seven.

Hauder and Reynolds will slug it out before the Aces July 3 game, and the winner will compete in the Triple-A Home Run Derby.

Fans wishing to attend the final round of High School Home Run Derby must purchase a ticket to the July 3 Aces game, with first pitch slated for 6:35 p.m. Tickets for all Aces home games can be bought at RenoAces.com, by calling (775) 334-7000 or by visiting the Aces Ballpark Ticket Office.
