RENO, Nev.-The Reno Aces fell 8-6 to the Tucson Padres on Saturday night, in an extra-innings affair in the series opener at Aces Ballpark.

Reno knotted the game at six in the bottom of the seventh, and neither club could push across a run in the next two innings. Tucson plated two runs in the top of the tenth, on an RBI single and a sacrifice fly, and Reno was retired in order in the bottom of the frame to end the game.

At the dish for Reno, four players recorded a multi-hit game. Tuffy Gosewisch went 2-for-4, including a triple and a home run, with two RBI and a run scored.

Chris Owings extended his hitting streak to 20 games, the best active streak in all of professional baseball.

Reliever Evan Marshall was charged with the loss, giving up two runs-one earned-on four hits through the final 2.0 frames of the game.

Miles Mikolas earned the win for the Padres, shutting out Reno and allowing just one hit over the final 2.0 innings.

The series continues Sunday afternoon at Aces Ballpark. RHP Bryan Henry (0-0, 4.80 ERA) gets the nod for Reno, while Tucson will counter with RHP Burch Smith (1-0, 1.80 ERA) First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. for another Renown Children's Hospital Family Funday, featuring baseball bingo.
