Tacoma Rainiers News Release


Tacoma, WA - In the first game of their four-game series the Tacoma Rainiers (11-10) beat the Fresno Grizzlies (7-14) 6-1 in front of 2912 fans at Cheney Stadium. Tacoma starting pitcher Garrett Olson shut down the Fresno bats early throwing 6.1 innings of no-hit baseball. Tacoma outfielder Michael Saunders homered for the Rainiers in his first game with the team this season. The Rainiers and Grizzlies will square off for game two of the series tomorrow at 7:00 pm pst.
