OMAHA, NE - The Omaha Royals will kick off their next home stand with a promotion that was named this week by www.milb.com as one of the ten best upcoming promotions in Minor League Baseball. The first 1,000 fans through the Rosenblatt Stadium gates on Monday, May 4th will receive a FREE Warren Buffett bobblehead doll. These exciting promotions are scheduled for the eight-game home stand vs. Memphis and Nashville:
Monday, May 4, 6:35 p.m.: Gates open at 5:30 p.m. and the 1st 1,000 fans will receive a FREE Warren Buffett bobblehead, courtesy of AA American Heating & Air! It's also dollar dog night, featuring $1 hot dogs, presented by Rotella's Italian Bakery! Plus, "Hit the Books" readers get a FREE ticket to the game, courtesy of the Nebraska College Savings Program. The night is also presented by 89.7 the River and the Daily Nonpareil.
Tuesday, May 5, 6:35 p.m.: It's Valpak 2-Buck 2uesday: general admission tickets are only 2 bucks! It's also UNO Night: newly-appointed Athletic Director Trev Alberts will throw out the first pitch. UNO students, alumni, faculty and staff will receive a $2 discount on Field Box and Reserved tickets by showing their ID. Plus, "Hit the Books" readers get a FREE ticket to the game, courtesy of the Nebraska College Savings Program. The night is also presented by CD 105.9 and The Reader.
Wednesday, May 6, 12:05 p.m.: Enjoy ½-price Omaha steaks burgers! And if you love Bingo, call the Royals at 738-5105 to play Senior Bingo before the game. The day is also presented by KFAB.
Thursday, May 7, 6:35 p.m.: It's the 1st of ten Thirsty Thursdays in 2009! Enjoy $1 beers and Cokes, presented by 96.1 The Brew, Action 3 News and the City Weekly.
Friday, May 8, 7:05 p.m.: It's Fireworks Friday, presented by Werner Enterprises. It's also Law Enforcement Night with displays set up by area police departments. The night is also presented by 99.9 KGOR, KETV and the City Weekly.
Saturday, May 9, 7:05 p.m.: Bring your dog to Rosenblatt for Bark in the Park Night! Fans with dogs will sit in Doggyville on the first base side. Your dog gets in FREE. The night is presented by Q98.5, WOWT and The Reader.
Sunday, May 10, 1:35 p.m.: It's U.S. Bank Family FUNday, with clowns, face painting and balloon art, plus after the game all kids are invited to run the bases with Casey! All Subway Kids Club members receive a FREE ticket to the game, courtesy of Subway. Plus, any fan bringing an Our Family Brand food item to the stadium gets a FREE G.A. ticket! A special Mother's Day brunch will be available in the Stadium View Club beginning at 12:30 p.m. The day is also presented by KGBI 100.7 FM and KPTM.
