Rainiers Drop Finale To Isotopes, 7-2

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - The Tacoma Rainiers (59-62) dropped their series finale with the Albuquerque Isotopes (56-66) by a final score of 7-2 on Wednesday night at Isotopes Park.

Left fielder John Andreoli led the way for Tacoma on offense, posting a 3-for-4 performance with one run scored and an RBI triple - he extended his on-base streak to 14 games. Right fielder Cameron Perkins (2x4, R, 2 2B) also checked in with multiple hits, while catcher Cameron Rupp (1x3, BB) reached base twice.

Dan Altavilla got the start for Tacoma in a rehab appearance and allowed two runs on two hits over 0.2 innings. Scheduled starter Steven Moyers relieved Altavilla and allowed three runs on five hits across 3.1 frames. Altavilla took the loss and moved to 0-1 on the year with Tacoma.

Tyler Higgins (2.0 IP) allowed two runs (one earned) on three hits across the fifth and sixth innings - he struck out one with no walks. Justin Grimm (1.0 IP) and Chasen Bradford (1.0 IP) both tossed scoreless frames of relief while allowing just three combined hits.

Tacoma returns home to kick off their final homestand of the season, an 11-gamer, beginning on Thursday at 7:05 p.m. PT against the Fresno Grizzlies. Rainiers left-hander Roenis Elias (2-4, 4.68) will start opposite Grizzlies right-hander Brady Rodgers (1-3, 6.94).
