SALT LAKE CITY - After a thrilling walk off win the night before, the Salt Lake Bees fell to EL Paso 6-3 in front of 12,094 fans at Smith's Ballpark on Tuesday night.

El Paso jumped out to a three run lead in the third, but the Bees closed the gap to one as Jared Walsh drove in a pair. Walsh has 14 RBIs over the last six games. Salt Lake and El Paso traded runs in the fourth and El Paso extended the lead with a run in the seventh and the ninth. Salt Lake was able to bring the tying run to the plate in the ninth with one out, but couldn't come up with a walk off hit for the second straight night.

Bees starter Dylan Unsworth lasted five innings, giving up four earned runs on nine hits and took his first loss of the season for Salt Lake. Junichi Tazawa made his Salt Lake debut and did not allow a hit or run while striking out one in his single inning of work. Tazawa became the 72nd different player to suit up for Salt Lake.

The Bees and the Chihuahuas will play the rubber game of their three-game set Wednesday at 7:05 p.m. at Smith's Ballpark. Tickets are available at slbees.com.
