Rain Washes Out Hoppers

GREENSBORO, NC -- The Grasshoppers game against the Kannapolis Intimidators was postponed on Thursday evening due to inclement weather.

The Hoppers and Intimidators will make the game up as part of a day-night double header on Saturday, June 20th . Game one is set for 12:35 p.m., and will be followed by the nightcap at 7:05 p.m.

NewBridge Bank Park will close after the conclusion of game one and re-open its gates at 6 p.m. for the start of the 7:05 p.m. contest.

The Grasshoppers and Intimidators will meet tomorrow evening for their regularly scheduled contest, sending right-hander Tom Koehler (3-3, 2.66) to the the hill to square off against Intimidator's lefty Stephen Sauer (2-2, 2.40).

The Hoppers visit the Intimidators Saturday, June 13th at Fieldcrest Stadium in Kannapolis, NC. The Grasshoppers will play two games in the Intimidators' park before returning home Monday 15th to host the Hickory Crawdads for a two-game set.

Tickets for tonight's game can be redeemed at the Grasshoppers' box office for any 2009 regular season home game for a ticket of equal or lesser value based on availability.
