Charleston, WV (June 11, 2009) - West Virginia Power All-Star lefty Rudy Owens turned in seven sensational innings against the Hickory Crawdads at Appalachian Power Park on Thursday night. Jeremy Farrell belted a bases loaded single to plate the first two runs of the inning. Marcus Davis laid down a bunt which induced an errant throw from Matt West, allowing Calvin Anderson to score, a balk brought in Farrell and Robbie Grossman's RBI single plated the final run of the inning.
West Virginia got their final run in the seventh inning on Chase D'Arnaud's solo homer, it was his third of the season. The Crawdads plated their lone run in the top of the eighth inning when Cody Podraza scored on a wild pitch.
