Rain Postpones Jumbo Shrimp and Blue Wahoos Thursday

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Rain and inclement weather postponed Thursday's game between the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp and Pensacola Blue Wahoos at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. The game is scheduled to be made up as part of a doubleheader of seven-inning games at 5:05 p.m. Friday, June 1, with gates opening at 4:30 p.m. at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. Regular individual tickets for Thursday's game may be exchanged at the box office for a ticket of equal or lesser value to any remaining regular season home game.

Fans holding tickets for Friday, June 1, are welcome to attend both games of the doubleheader. Group picnics will remain at their scheduled times.

Sunday marked the fourth postponement - third at home - this season for Jacksonville and the second for Pensacola. The June 1 doubleheader is the fourth this season - third at home - for the Jumbo Shrimp and second for the Blue Wahoos.

UP NEXT: The Jumbo Shrimp continue their series with Pensacola in a 5:05 p.m. doubleheader Friday. Fans may visit any participating NAPA AutoCare Center to get a FREE general admission ticket (reserved seat upgrade available at the box office) for the doubleheader that concludes with NAPA AutoCare Family Fireworks. The Jumbo Shrimp wear red "Bold City" jerseys to support the military on Red Shirt Friday, when fans who wear red can save $1 per ticket at the box office or donate the $1 to the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund. Friday Night Lites Miller Lite Happy Hour offers $1 12-oz. Miller Lite and $1 off craft beer specials in the Craft Cave by the third-base gates until 7:30 p.m. The game is presented by 96.1 WEJZ. The Inflatamaniacs - Hollywood, Ice, G Money and Munchie - will be part of the night's entertainment.
