Railroaders One-Hit by Robichaux

Cleburne Railroaders News Release
CLEBURNE, Texas - Trevor Sealey broke up Austin Robichaux's no-hit bid with a two-out double in the 9th inning, but the Railroaders were one-hit for the first time in franchise history in a 2-0 loss to the Lincoln Saltdogs at The Depot on Thursday night.
On a 1-0 pitch, Sealey chopped a double down the left-field line that broke a string of 19 consecutive batters retired by Robichaux, who became only the 13th pitcher in American Association history to toss a one-hitter since the league's inception in 2005.
Robichaux tossed his second shutout of the year, surrendering just the one hit with no walks and nine strikeouts.
Robichaux retired the first seven he faced before hitting Paul Ludden and Alex Polston with back-to-back pitches in the 3rd inning - the only two batters to reach before Sealey's double.
Cleburne starter Josh Hodges went seven innings and gave up seven hits with one unearned run, one walk and four strikeouts. Patrick Young walked three batters and allowed a run to score on a wild pitch in the 8th inning.
The Saltdogs opened the scoring with Jamey Smart's RBI single that scored Curt Smith - who reached on an error by Patrick Palmeiro to begin the 6th inning.
Thursday marked the fourth time Cleburne's been shut out in 2018, and first since July 22 at Wichita. In each of the previous three shutouts, the Railroaders had a pitcher toss a complete game.
Levi Scott went 0-for-4 with four strikeouts, ending his nine-game on-base streak, while Tyler Wilson tossed a 1-2-3 8th inning with a pair of strikeouts.
The series continues Friday night at The Depot. First pitch time is set for 7:06 p.m., and LHP Michael Gunn will go head-to-head with major-leaguer-turned-knuckleballer RHP Dan Johnson.
Friday is also the final Fireworks Friday at The Depot in 2018. All ticket and promotional information can be found at www.railroaderbaseball.com or by calling (817) 945-8705.
