MOOSIC, PA. - The Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders took down the Syracuse Mets by a score of 9-5. Five runs in the seventh helped SWB rally and take the win. Everson Pereira launched a homer and had five RBIs on Wednesday night.

A pair of singles, an error and a groundout saw one run cross for Syracuse in the top of the first.

Oswald Peraza walked and scored on an RBI single from Franchy Cordero to even the score at one run apiece at the end of the first.

Michael Perez homered to lead off the top of the fourth for the Mets. Following the solo shot, a walk, an error and a sacrifice fly plated another for Syracuse extending their lead to 3-1.

The visitors scored another in the top of the fifth when Brandon McIlwain doubled and was singled in.

In the bottom of the seventh Scranton/Wilkes-Barre flipped the script. Two walks and a Brandon Lockridge single loaded the bases with no outs. A single from Austin Wells and a throwing error scored two. Then Pereira brought in two more with a single of his own. Pereira came around on a groundout and a fielding error and the five run inning gave the RailRiders a 6-4 lead.

Some insurance came in the bottom of the eighth for the home team. A walk and another Wells single put two on for Pereira with two outs.

Pereira launched a three-run homer, his sixth with the RailRiders, stretching their lead to 9-4.

Syracuse got one back on a Carlos Cortes homer in the top of the ninth, but their rally was stifled from there and Scranton/Wilkes-Barre secured the win.
