
RailCats earn a 4-2 win

Gary SouthShore Railcats News Release
The Gary SouthShore RailCats (4-4) opened the home portion of the 2011 schedule with a 4-2 win over the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks. Trailing 1-0 in the fourth, Brad Boyer homered to tie the game, his second homer of the season and also drove in the winning run with an infield single in the bottom of the seventh. Starter Derrick Gordon did not allow an earned run in six innings, walking four and striking out six. Chris Carrara posted three hits in the ballgame while Boyer added a pair. David Nathanson netted his fourth save while James Baker recorded the win.
