Prince Albert Raiders News Release

Prince Albert, SK - The Prince Albert Raiders play their first home game of the 2015-16 Western Hockey League Regular Season on Saturday, September 26 against the rival Saskatoon Blades.

The Raiders' home opener is the backend of a home-and-home set between Prince Albert and Saskatoon to start the regular season. The game signifies the beginning of a new era for the Raiders. Curtis Hunt is set to begin his first year as the club's general manager, while Marc Habscheid is entering his first full-season after taking over behind the bench last November. During their home opener, the Raiders will also dip into the past, wearing special edition retro jerseys, while also celebrating the start of the WHL's 50th season.

Home opener festivities will begin at 4:00 PM on Saturday with plenty of activities outside the Art Hauser Centre and in the Ches Leach Lounge.

In the parking lot, Prince Albert Co-op will hold a BBQ. Fans will be able to grab a hamburger or hot dog with chips and pop for only $5. PJ Castles is also providing bouncy castles as part of the Raiders' Kid Zone. Kids will have the chance to get their face painted and create posters to bring into the game. CKBI will be broadcasting on site.

Maxwell Music will DJ inside the Ches Leach Lounge where beverages will be on sale, starting at 4:00 PM. After the game, the Raiders will host a live auction where fans will have the chance to take home a game-worn Raiders retro jersey in the Ches Leach Lounge.
