Wisconsin Rapids, WI- George Ragsdale doubled and added his first home run of the year in the seventh inning to propel the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters to their second-straight win over the Green Bay Bullfrogs, 8-6. The two-hit night by Ragsdale comes on the heels over a breakout performance Monday evening against the Bullfrogs that included two extra-base knocks for the Virginia Cavalier. Ragsdale now has five hits against against the Green Bay in just two games played this season, including four extra-base knocks. The win improved the Rafters to 15-13 overall and moved the club two games above the .500 mark for the first time this season. The offense came alive as the Rafters tallied five doubles and two home runs throughout the course of the night, including two extra-base hits by Jonathan Moroney. The second double by Moroney scored the go ahead run to give the Rafters their first lead in the seventh inning.

The game was a back-and-forth affair as the Bulldogs, much like Monday night, jumped out to an early 2-0 lead after adding three base hits in the first inning off Greg Maisto. Maisto settled down after the first, retiring 10-straight batters that spanned through the fourth inning.

North Florida Freshman, Donnie Dewees, paced the Rafters offensive attack as the Osprey added his first base hit of the night on a single up the middle in the bottom of the fourth. Jackson Slaid followed with an RBI double to right give the Rafters their first run of the game and draw the club to within one, 2-1. Slaid scored on an RBI groundout by Zack Belanger to draw the game even, 2-2.

Green Bay added three more runs in the fifth after Jose Godinez led off the inning with the Bullfrogs first home run of the night. The home run by Godinez was part of a three-run inning that included a double by Travis Sonnier and two base hits to give the Bullfrogs the lead, 5-2.

Jeremy Montalbano answered in the bottom of the inning, belting the Longhorn's fourth extra-base hit of the season. Marcus Wheeler followed with a single to scratch across a run, making the score, 5-3. Donnie Dewees would even the scoreboard at five with his fourth home run of the season. The home run was his third two-run home run of the year and third at Witter Field. Dewees is now hitting .476 with runners in scoring position. The home run tied the game 5-5.

The Rafters used a three run seventh inning to separate themselves from the Bullfrogs. Ragsdale added his first home run of the year to tie the game at 6-6, while Taylor Stell and Jonathan Moroney brought in the go-ahead runs with doubles to right and centerfield.

The win gave the Rafters the two-game series sweep that included a home-and-home contest.
