Green Bay, WI- The Wisconsin Rapids Rafters scored the games final five runs and Cort Brinson scored the winning run to give the Rafters their first win of the season against the Green Bay Bullfrogs in 12 innings, 7-5. The win was just the Rafters fourth walk-off win of the season and avoided back-to-back losses for the first time since June 8 against the Lakeshore Chinooks.

Green Bay jumped ahead of Wisconsin Rapids early to take a 3-0 lead as the Bullfrogs plated runs in the first and second inning against Rafters starter, Griffin Glaude. The Bullfrogs scored their three early runs on just two hits, while executing on a barrage of Rafter mistakes to take the early lead.

Zack Belanger added two hits in the ballgame while leading off the top of the fifth inning with a single up the middle. Jeremy Montalbano and Charlie Curl followed with base hits of their own to give the Rafters the bases loaded and no body out. George Ragsdale, marred in an early season slump, launched a single off the left field wall to plate the Rafters first two runs and make the score, 3-2. The two-RBI single by Ragsdale was part of a three-hit evening for the Virginia prospect that included a double in the seventh and ninth inning.

The Bullfrogs would push the lead to three runs as Green Bay added single tallies in the sixth and seventh inning. Nick Torres reached on a walk and scored a run in the sixth and Bryant Burleson each added singles apiece in the seventh to scratch across another run to give Green Bay a commanding lead, 5-2.

The home run in the seventh was the second of the season and was part of a three-hit evening for Moroney, marking the seventh ballgame this year the Texas A&M prospect has tallied three hits in a game. The home run brought the game to within one-run, 5-4.

The game would remain tied until the ninth inning when Robbie Coman led the inning off with a double to right-center. The extra-base hit was just the first of the season for Coman and was part of a two-hit evening for the Virginia freshman. Cort Brinson would pinch-run for Coman in the ninth and, with Erik Payne batting, Brian Trieglaff struckout Payne, but the baseball flew by the glove of the Bullfrogs catcher, Mitchell Ghelfi, who was substituted into the game as a defensive replacement for the Bullfrogs starter, Ryan Matranga. Mitchell would play the ball off the backstop and overthrow the first base men. The over throw allowed the Brinson to score from the second, giving the Rafters the lead, 6-5. Jeremy Montalbano added another run in the inning with a single up to middle making the score, 7-5.

J.P. Feyereisen threw the final three innings while allowing just two hits to keep his ERA a sparkling 0.00, while also earning his first save of the season. The UW-Stevens Point prospect has now not allowed an earned run in 18.1 innings.
