"Racing Presidents" to Appear at Bisons Fan Appreciation Night

The Buffalo Bisons today announced that the Washington Nationals' Racing Presidents will race at the team's annual Fan Appreciation Night on Thursday, September 1st against the Nationals' Triple-A affiliate, the Syracuse Chiefs (6:05 p.m.).

All four presidents from the Nationals' famous Racing Presidents will be at Coca-Cola Field: George Washington, Abe Lincoln, Thomas Jefferson and the winless Theodore Roosevelt. Along with racing during the game, the characters will interact with Bisons fans during the Herd's final home game of the 2011 season.

Complete race formats and details will be announced by the Bisons at a later date.

About Fan Appreciation Night A tradition each year at Coca-Cola Field, the final home game is Fan Appreciation Night. The Bisons will present fans with random giveaways every half inning during the game. Before the contest, skydivers will jump onto the field and the club will present their yearly player awards, including the team Stan Barron Most Valuable Player.

The night will conclude with the second largest Fireworks show of the season.

The team also has a Fan Appreciation Night 4-Pack on sale at the club's official website, bisons.com. For only $61 (or a savings of $22), fans will receive four reserve seat tickets, four hot dogs, four Coca-Cola drinks and one Bisons logo T-shirt.
