Lehigh Valley IronPigs News Release
The second-place IronPigs (67-53) -- who have fallen out of first place for the first time since May 15 -- start a six-game homestand with Game One of a four-game series against the West's last-place Toledo Mud Hens (57-63). With a 7-0 loss at Norfolk yesterday, the Pigs lost the final two games to split the four-game series with the Tides and finished just 5-6 on their season-long, 11-game road trip. They've dropped 10 of their last 15 contests and are now just 26-29 since June 16... The Mud Hens -- Detroit's top affiliate -- just swept a two-game home series against Louisville and has won three straight games overall. Once 32-50, the Mud Hens have gone 25-13 since July 1.
LHP Ryan Edell (3-4, 4.84) will start for LHV against LHP Andy Oliver (7-8, 4.85).
Tonight's game features Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Phoebe Ministries. First-Pitch is at 7:05 p.m.
