
Quintana Struggles Early, Braves Fall 9-3

Rome, GA - The Greenville Drive came out swinging with 15 hits on the night to top the Rome Braves 9-3 Tuesday at State Mutual Stadium.
Rome took a 1-0 advantage with a run in the first on Bryan De La Rosa's RBI double but the lead was short lived. The Drive scored three times in the second highlighted by Yoan Moncada two run double and a wild pitch to score the third run of the inning. Greenville added two more runs in the third thanks to Joseph Monge's RBI double giving the Drive a 5-1 lead. Rome began to chip away at the lead with a run in the third on Omar Obregon's RBI and another run in the fourth on Luke Dykstra's double to score a run making it a 5-3 game. Three runs in the fifth by Greenville made it an 8-3 game and the Drive scored a single run in the ninth for the 9-3 final.
Dedgar Jimenez (9-9) goes seven innings to get the win while Rome starter Zach Quintana (5-7) is hit with the loss. Quintana allowed ten hits and six earned runs in four innings of work.
