Williamsport Crosscutters News Release

The bats were alive for the third consecutive night as the Crosscutters come away with a 7-3 win over the Batavia Muckdogs Monday night.

Williamsport trailed 2-0 heading to the home half of the first, but Gustavo Martinez provided most of the work. He singled to right centerfield, stole second, reached third base on an error and came home on an RBI double play groundout by Dylan Cozens.

Andrew Pullin tied the game with a solo home run to left field on the first pitch of the second inning.

Pullin came through again in the sixth with a RBI double to left field. Gabriel Lino followed with a two-run single to give the Cutters the lead.

Williamsport put the game away in the 7th. Justin Parr doubled off the right field wall to score the first run of the inning, but the Cutters wouldn't stop from there. Angelo Mora hit a ground ball to second and Avery Romero chose to throw out Hiciano at home, but the throw got away from Chad Wallach and the Muckdogs never fought back.

The Cutters improve to 4-4 and can sweep the Muckdogs on Tuesday. First pitch is at 7:05 P.M.
