Myrtle Beach Pelicans News Release

The Texas Rangers have made the following transactions that affect the Myrtle Beach Pelicans Roster.

Please note the following transactions:

RHP Kevin Pucetas (#30) received from Hickory Crawdads. RHP Jason Knapp (#33) placed on the 7-day disabled list

Pucetas makes his return to Myrtle Beach where he finished last season. The 28-year-old is in his first full season after converting to being, primarily, a knuckleball pitcher last last season. He was the Giants 17th round pick in 2006 and made it to Triple-A with San Francisco and Kansas City and has pitched in four different organizations. In 13 outings in Hickory this season, one start, he went 1-1 with a 3.32 ERA and one save.

Attached is an updated Pelicans Roster as of today, Monday, July 7.

The Pelicans roster is now at 25 active players, which is one below the Carolina League limit, and includes two players on the disabled list.
