St. Paul Saints News Release
ST. PAUL, MN - Whether you are on team Heathcliff or Garfield, Felix or Sylvester, Tom Kitten or Socks, CHS Field has the perfect event for the cat enthusiast in all of us. The St. Paul Saints and myTalk 107.1 will bring thousands of feline fans to one location for the popular Cat Video Festival.
On Tuesday, August 9 gates will open at 6:00 p.m. with the show beginning around 8:30 p.m. There will be no need for cat fights or catcalls as videos featuring Siamese, Scottish Fold, Siberian and even Himalayan cats will entertain fans from all walks of life on the CHS Field 30' X 50' wide HD video board. For the first time in the events history fans can capture the most adorable, hilarious or awe inspiring moment from their cat on video and submit it directly to catfestmn.com. As in the past, other people's videos can also be nominated by sharing their link on the website form.
"When our staff heard that the Internet Cat Video Festival was not going to return this year they immediately rallied to bring the event back in 2016," said VP/Market Manager of Hubbard Radio Minneapolis/St. Paul Dan Seeman. "We think the event is a perfect fit for myTalk 107.1 and our listeners. We want to make sure this great community event continues. Our first call was to the St. Paul Saints and we are so pleased to be partnering with them so we can bring the event back to CHS Field."
Fans are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite cat-like costume and the event will include cat-related family activities. Cat friendly music will be played throughout the night.
"This was easily one of the most entertaining events to take place at CHS Field during our inaugural season here in 2015 with more than 13,000 fans in attendance," said Saints Executive Vice President/General Manager Derek Sharrer. "We are thrilled to be working with myTalk 107.1 to ensure that this wonderful tradition, originally created by the talented staff at the Walker Art Center, continues for years to come."
Tickets go on sale Tuesday, June 7 at 10:00 a.m. by going to saintsbaseball.com, calling 651-644-6659 or going to the Saints box office Monday-Friday 9-6 or Saturday 10-2. The event will donate $1 per ticket purchased to Wags and Whiskers Animal Rescue of MN. General admission tickets are $10 and VIP Tickets to the Securian Club, which includes food and drink are $75.
