
Prince George defeats Kelowna

The Prince George Cougars defeated the Kelowna Rockets 3-1 Saturday night in Western Hockey League action at Prospera Place in Kelowna.
Troy Bourke scored twice and Ricard Blidstrand opened the scoring as the Cougars led from start to finish.
After the Cougars had made the score 2-0 late in the third period, Myles Bell gave the Rockets life with his 14th goal of the season. Despite a strong push the Rockets couldn't tie the game and suffered its second loss of the weekend after Friday's 3-1 loss to Victoria.
Adam Brown was the game's second star in a losing cause in front of 6,074 fans in Kelowna.
The Rockets now have just three games left in the WHL regular season. They host the Everett Silvertips on Wednesday before closing the season next weekend with a home and home set with the Vancouver Giants next weekend including a Saturday meeting in Kelowna.
Kelowna will finish sixth in the WHL Western Conference meeting an undetermined opponent in the WHL playoffs. Playoff dates have yet to be released.
