Myrtle Beach Thunderboltz News Release

FLORENCE, SC – The Florence Pride, proud members of the ECHL, announced today that the team will help in the introduction of Dolly Parton's Imagination Library to Florence County.

The Dolly Parton Imagination Library allows children to receive free books each month until they reach the age of five. Children are required to register with the Imagination Library in order to receive the free books. These books are mailed directly to the children's house, as long as they remain a resident of Florence County. The library program in Florence County is sponsored by the United Way of Florence County, Florence County First Steps and Dolly Parton.

At Sunday's game against the Toledo Storm, the Pride will welcome the Imagination Library to Florence County, and help begin the library's fund-raising campaign. Amanda Willis, the Regional Director for Dolly Parton's Imagination Library, will be in attendance, and will speak to fans during the game. In addition, the first 100 kids that sign up for the program will receive an additional free book.

Sunday is another Sunday Kids' Day at the Lion's Den. Tickets for all kids 12 and under are available for just $2.50, and in addition, kids' meals are available for an additional $2.50.

The Pride play three games in three days this weekend. Friday, they host the Florida Everblades at 7:30 p.m. After traveling to South Carolina for a Saturday match-up with the Stingrays, the Pride return home for Sunday's game against the Storm. Sunday is the second season-ticket holder redemption day of the season. Pride season-ticket holders can redeem unused season tickets in exchange for free 400-level tickets for Sunday's game.

Tickets for all Pride home games are available at the Florence Civic Center Box Office, or through TicketMaster at (843) 679-9333 or on-line at www.ticketmaster.com.
