PRINCE GEORGE, BC - This afternoon, at the CN Centre, the Prince George Cougars kick off a four-game home-stand against the Kamloops Blazers at 2:00 pm.
The Prince George Cougars concluded their five-game road trip with a 3-2 setback against the Vancouver Giants, Friday at the Langley Events Centre. Terik Parascak and Carlin Dezainde had the two Cougar goals, while Ty Young made 26 saves on 29 shots.

HEIDT MAKES HISTORY: On Sunday, January 28th, Riley Heidt became the franchise leader in points (243) and assists (168) with a three-point effort against the Wenatchee Wild. Heidt surpassed the previous leader Jansen Harkins and played in 50 fewer games to eclipse both accolades. The 18-year-old prospect of the Minnesota Wild is also putting together a career-best season in terms of goals, currently at 27 (had 25 last season).
MORE HISTORY FOR THE CAPTAIN: Captain Hudson Thornton became the Cougars all-time assists leader among Cougar defenceman (124) on Friday, February 2nd against the Vancouver Giants. The 20-year-old from Winnipeg surpasses Dan Hamhuis for the milestone. Thornton now leads all Cougar blue-liners in history in points, goals, and assists.
CHL TOP TEN: The WHL is represented by four teams in the Week 17 rankings. Saskatoon (1), Portland (6) Prince George (7), and Everett (8). The Cougars have been named in the CHL Top 10, 16 of 17 weeks.
