PrairieThunder Win Fourth Straight 4-1 Over Quad City on Saturday Night

The Bloomington PrairieThunder improved to 12-6-1 on the year, winning their fourth straight by a 4-1 margin over the Quad City Mallards (10-11-0) on Saturday night at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. John Snowden scored his eighth and ninth goals of the season, including the game winner at 18:20 of the first period. Bill Bagron and Brett Holmberg scored the other PrairieThunder goals.

Bloomington goaltender Brad Phillips won his second game of the year stopping 23 of the 24 shots he faced. Only Shane Lovdahl of the Mallards got one behind Phillips at 13:31 of the second period. Bloomington is off until next Friday, December 17th when they once again host the Dayton Gems. Game time on Friday is 7:05pm at U.S. Cellular Coliseum.
