
PrairieThunder Get Home Ice Following 4-3 Overtime Win Against Evansville

The Bloomington PrairieThunder finally got that elusive home ice for the upcoming first round of the Central Hockey League playoffs by defeating the Evansville IceMen 4-3 in overtime on Friday night at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. John Snowden scored his team leading 9th game winning goal at 2:42 of overtime. For Snowden it was his 19th goal of the year. Jason Deleurme, Tom Galvin, and Karl Fournier also scored for the PThunder who improved to 37-21-6 on the year. Pending the outcome of tonight's Rapid City at Arizona game, Bloomington could move into second place in the CHL's Turner Conference.
With the victory, Bloomington assured itself of home ice for the best of five Turner Conference Quarterfinals which begin next weekend. The PrairieThunder will play games #1 & #2 at the U.S. Cellular Coliseum on Saturday, April 2nd @ 7:05pm and Sunday, April 3rd @ 3:05pm. Their opponent is still to be determined this weekend and the entire best of five schedule should be released on Sunday evening.
