
Sundogs Activate Groenestege, Place Szuper on Injured Reserve

PRESCOTT VALLEY, Ariz. - Arizona Sundogs Head Coach and General Manager Marco Pietroniro announced today the team has activated netminder Doug Groenestege and has placed goaltender Levente Szuper on injured reserve.
Szuper, injured early in the second period of a 8-4 loss to the Colorado Eagles on May 19, appeared in a franchise-record 41 games with Arizona this season, recording a 18-13-6 record, 3.38 goals against average (GAA) and .904 save percentage (SV%).
The Budapest, Hungary, native was twice named CHL Goaltender of the Week, earning the honor twice in three weeks in late November and early December.
Groenestege is 5-11-3 mark in 21 appearances this season with a 3.90 GAA and .886 SV%.
Playoff bound for the third time in five seasons, the Sundogs close out the 2010-11 regular season with a pair of contests against the defending CHL Champion Rapid City Rush beginning tonight at 7:05pm (Arizona time) at Tim's Toyota Center.
