PrairieThunder Defeats Fort Wayne 5-3

The Bloomington PrairieThunder scored four powerplay goals and defeated the Fort Wayne Komets 5-3 on Friday night in Indiana. Brian Kaufman scored two goals for Bloomington, including the game winner at 10:26 of the third period. Jamie Lovell, Jason Dale, and Jon Booras got the other twine denters for the PrairieThunder. Bloomington went a perfect 4 for 4 on the powerplay. Goaltender Marco Emond stopped 19 of 22 shots for his eighth win of the year.

Jason Dale, Bill Bagron, and Craig Macdonald each had two assists on the night.

The PrairieThunder will play the weekend without both new defensemen Pierre-Olivier Beaulieu and David Brown as they are still traveling from Odessa, Texas to Bloomington. Bloomington plays Saturday night in Evansville, Indiana against the Evansville IceMen.
