The Bloomington PrairieThunder took a 5-0 lead midway into the second period and held on for a 7-5 victory over the Evansville IceMen on Wednesday night at U.S. Cellular Coliseum. Bloomington (18-10-1) won for the sixth time in their last ten games and defeated Evansville (10-18-5) for the fifth straight time this season.
Travis Granbois scored two goals for the PrairieThunder, including the game winner at 13:53 of the second period. Jon Booras also scored twice for Bloomington. Bill Bagron had a goal and two assists as did Brett Holmberg and John Snowden closed out the scoring for the PrairieThunder.
