POWER REPLAY: West Virginia lost 5-2 on Saturday night to the Lexington Legends. The Power scored a run in the first when Alen Hanson tripled to lead off the inning and crossed home on a fielder's choice. The Legends responded with three runs in the top of the second and never relinquished the lead. Ryan Hafner allowed three runs on two hits and five walks over three innings and took the loss. Hanson and Dan Gamache had two hits apiece as West Virginia's four game winning streak was snapped.

OLD FRIENDS: Zack Von Rosenberg will start for the Power this afternoon against Lexington. Von Rosenberg has made four appearances against the Legends in his career, going 1-2 with a 7.71 ERA. The right-hander has allowed 14 runs, all earned, on 22 hits over 16 and a third innings pitched between the 2011 and 2012 seasons. Von Rosenberg's lone loss this season was at Lexington on June 11.

STREAK STOPPED: The Power's four game winning streak was halted on Saturday. The streak, which

dated back to the final two games of the first half, matched the longest winning streak of the season. The only other four game winning streak was on April 12-15 against Greenville at Appalachian Power Park (the first four home games of the year).

FOUR SCORE: On Thursday night, Taylor Lewis became the third Power player to drive in four runs in a game this season. Kirk Singer drove in four in his 2012 debut against Hagerstown on April 8, while Willy Garcia drove in four in a June 9 win at Asheville. Lewis has hit safely in all six games he has played in since joining the Power roster on June 14.

WIN OR DRAW: With wins on Thursday and Friday, the Power have guaranteed at least a series split with the Legends. A victory this afternoon would give West Virginia just its fourth series win this season. The team have lost 15 series and split two times so far in 2012.

POWER V. LEGENDS: The Power lead the all-time series 77-72. West Virginia holds a 41-34 mark at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, but have only gone 36-38 at home against the Legends since Appalachian Power Park opened in 2005.

FIRST HALF RECAP: West Virginia finished the first half of the season with a 23-47 record, which was the lowest winning percentage (.329) in any half since the team became known as the Power in 2005. The club finished the first half with a .257 average (third best mark after the first 70 games) and a 5.28 ERA (highest ever after the first half). West Virginia went 16-18 at home and 7-29 away from Appalachian Power Park (fewest road wins by any team in the league in any half since 2005).

PROMO UPDATE- JULY 4: West Virginia's next BIG 12 promotional night is July 4 at 7:05 pm against Lakewood. The team will host appearances by Dora the Explorer, Spongebob Squarepants, and Foofa from Yo Gabba Gabba. The evening will end with a post game fireworks show.

POWER POINTS: Eric Avila has hit safely in each of his last four games... Willy Garcia's 16 game on-base streak was stopped last night. Garcia is 0-12 in his last five games and two for his last 23 spanning eight games... Jose Osuna has a six-game hitting streak entering play today. This is his fourth hitting streak of six or more games this season.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: Pittsburgh beat Detroit 4-1 for the second straight day. The Buccos will go for the three game sweep this afternoon... Indianapolis beat Scranton/ Wilkes-Barre 8-3... Altoona rebounded from a loss Friday for a 13-5 win over Akron... Bradenton's game at Charlotte was postponed and the Marauders open a four game series at Dunedin today... State College knocked off Mahoning Valley 9-2.
