POWER REPLAY: West Virginia beat Lexington 9-7 on Tuesday night. The Power built a 6-2 lead after four innings, keyed by a three-run home run from Willy Garcia in the fourth. The Legends rallied in the bottom of the seventh and cut the West Virginia lead down to one, but the Power responded with a three-run eighth to seal the win. Rinku Singh earned his second victory of the season and Nathan Kilcrease garnered his second save in two weeks on the roster.

GOING, GOING, GARCIA: Willy Garcia has three home runs in 10 games this month, surpassing his April total and putting him one behind his May tally of four over 27 games. Since May 1st, Garcia is batting .321 with 45 hits over 140 at bats with seven home runs and 28 runs batted in.

HOME RUN TOTALS: Power players have combined to belt 40 home runs this season, though 68 percent of those have been hit by three players. Willy Garcia, Alen Hanson, and Gregory Polanco have hit nine apiece, matching the 2011 season-best totals of Matt Curry and Rogelio Noris. seven players have combined to hit the other 13 this season.

TRENDING SOUTH: The Power are on pace to finish with the lowest winning percentage in any half of a season since the team moved to Appalachian Power Park in 2005. The '05 club went 25-45 in the first half (.357 winning percentage). The second lowest percentage after 70 games belongs to the 2009 Power during the first year as a Pirates affiliate (27-43 (.386)).

TOUGH TRAVELS: The Power have seven road wins in 35 chances this season (a .176 winning percentage) with one game left away from Charleston in the first half. Since the Power joined the South Atlantic League in 2005, no team in the league has finished with fewer than eight wins on the road in any half of any season. By the end of the first half on Sunday, the Power will have played 36 road games and 34 home contests due to an April 18 home rainout that was made up at Asheville on May 2.

POWER V. LEGENDS: The Power lead the all-time series 75-70. West Virginia holds a 41-33 mark at Whitaker Bank Ballpark, but have only gone 34-37 at home against the Legends since Appalachian Power Park opened in 2005.

THREE STARS HEADED TO ASG: The South Atlantic League announced the 2012 All-Star Game rosters last week and three Power players were selected, including two starters. Alen Hanson will start at second base despite the fact that he has not played there once this season, while Gregory Polanco was selected to start in right field. Like Hanson, Polanco has not played the position he is starting in at all this season. Matt Benedict was chosen as one of the 11 pitchers to represent the Northern Division team in the game to be played at Joseph P. Riley Jr. Park in Charleston, SC, on July 19.

PROMO UPDATE- JUNE 15: West Virginia will hold Pink Power Night on June 15 against the Hagerstown Suns. The team will don pink jerseys that will be auctioned off with proceeds benefiting the Komen for the Cure Foundation.

POWER POINTS: West Virginia is now 1-22 when a team scores seven or more runs against them this season... An American-Made Energy rally will be held at Appalachian Power Park on Saturday. Gates will open at 2:30 pm and fans in attendance will get free admission to that night's game versus the Suns.

AROUND THE ORGANIZATION: The Pirates lost the series opener against the Orioles 8-6 at Baltimore's Camden Yards ... Indianapolis beat Rochester 2-0, blanking the Red Wings for the second straight day... Altoona's game with Trenton was postponed due to rain and the clubs will play two tonight... Bradenton dropped a 5-3 final at Fort Myers.
