LAKEWOOD, NJ - LAKEWOOD, NJ - Kyrell Hudson drove in the first three runs and scored the 4th as the BlueClaws beat Delmarva 4-3 in a rain-shortened five innings on Wednesday night at FirstEnergy Park.
With the win, the BlueClaws took two of three in the series.
Josh Warner (1-0) gave up three runs in five innings and gets credit with a complete game and his first win. He had made a spot start for the BlueClaws on May 26th and this was his second appearance with Lakewood.
Hudson tied the game in the bottom of the fourth off Eduardo Rodriguez with an RBI double to score Chris Duffy. Hudson then stole third, and scored on a throwing error by catcher Gabriel Lino.
Warner retired the side in order in the 5th, and after a 30-minute rain delay, the game was called.
The attendance of 5,534 brings the BlueClaws to within 9,555 fans of 5-million, a mark that will fall on Friday night.
Fans with tickets to Wednesday's game can exchange them for any game on the BlueClaws next homestand, which runs June 25th through July 3rd.
