Drew Maggi had four hits to pace a 12-hit attack, and Dan Grovatt, Kevin Mort, and Eric Avila drove in a run each. Rinku Singh gained his second win, and Kevin Decker toss two scoreless for his second save.
WALK OF LIFE: West Virginia's pitching staff continues to lead all of baseball with the fewest number of batters walked this year. Power pitchers have combined to walk 259 batters through 111 games. The lowest team total in club history is 346 during the 2010 season. The league's record low over a 140 game season is 314 by Augusta in 2001. The Power also have the league's best strikeout to walk ratio at 3.13 strikeouts per walk.
GETTING ROSEY: Zack Von Rosenberg has pitched well over his last four starts, allowing just four earned runs over 22 innings. The Power pitcher has made more starts than any other pitcher this season with 22, and has lowered his ERA down over one full run during this recent stretch. Von Rosenberg also leads the club with 88 strikeouts this season.
STOPPED AT TEN: Dan Grovatt's ten-game hitting was stopped Saturday night with an 0-4 evening. The ten-game run is the longest by any Power player this season, surpassing the nine-game streaks by Matt Curry, Justin Howard, and Drew Maggi earlier this year. Grovatt hit .325 during his streak with 13 hits over 40 at bats.
FIST BUMPING WEEKEND: West Virginia and Lakewood close out their season series tonight. West Virginia leads this series 9-8 in 2011. The BlueClaws hold the all-time advantage in this match-up with a 51-41 record against the Power, and the West Virginia trails in the series on the road, going 17-21 at FirstEnergy Park since 2005. After tonight's game, the Power and BlueClaws have met a total of 18 times this season after playing 16 times in 2010. Lakewood won 10 games in the set last season.
ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The final few weeks of the 2011 season will see the Power see-saw between home and road series. After this four-game set in Lakewood, West Virginia returns home for four against Charleston. On August 14, the Power open a four game series in Kannapolis. Four days later, they'll host Delmarva for four. After a four day trip to Greensboro starting August 22, the Power open their final homestand of the season; a five game run against Lexington beginning on August 26. The last road trip sends West Virginia to Delmarva over Labor Day weekend.
VERGE OF HISTORY: Rogelio Noris has 24 career home runs for West Virginia over a season and a half in a Power jersey. Noris has matched Stephen Chapman for the most home runs in any player's Power career. Chapman hit a single-season record 24 home runs in a Power uniform in 2007.

The southpaw has enough innings pitched to remain among the league leaders until his next start on Wednesday against Charleston...
