
Nick Adenhart Night Set for August 16 in Hagerstown

HAGERSTOWN, Md. - The Hagerstown Suns will hold Nick Adenhart Night at Municipal Stadium on Tuesday, Aug. 16. A portion of all ticket sales and 100 percent of silent auction proceeds will be donated to the Nick Adenhart Memorial Fund. The Suns will also unveil a plaque with Adenhart's name that will hang on the outfield wall next to the retired numbers.
Several Major League Baseball teams, Minor League Baseball teams and other individuals have donated items for the silent auction which will be held during the game. A list of all items received as of August 8 is available on the following page. First pitch is set for 7:05 p.m., and gates will open at 6:05 p.m.

Adenhart grew up in the Hagerstown community and was a well-known athlete throughout the region before he reached the national stage with the Angels. In 2009, he was killed in an automobile accident. After his passing, a community foundation that provides funds for youth baseball organizations was established in his memory.
The Nick Adenhart Memorial Fund provides financial support to nonprofit youth baseball organizations that support the growth of the individual, the value of teamwork and the advancement of the game in their community.
